Dr. Dimitris holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Malmö University, Sweden.
His thesis is titled as “Sociotechnical aspects of automated recommendations: algorithms, ethics, and evaluation”
Dimitris published his research on recommender systems in recognized venues such as RecSys, PAKDD, and IUI, one of which brought him a best paper award. He has been a program committee member in several leading AI conferences (ECIR, RecSys).
Broadly, his research interests lie at the intersection of data science and ethics. He is a proponent of transparent, accountable, and fair machine learning methods.
Dimitris looks forward to taking part in the project Hominis, LiveAI, and potentially other DK initiatives.
